Chivalry versus Chauvinism is the theme in Pietermaritzburg rapper, poet and author Brian dot Khoza's rap EP entitled "PLAYER POETRY: Learning To Respect Women", which has songs exclusively about relationships with women. Player poetry is how he describes his rap style; a nod to his favourite lyricists 2pac and Nas' descriptions "Thug Poetry" and "Thug Poet". It is an introduction to his style and the subtitle "Learning To Respect Women" alludes to the content in his 7 song EP.

Mixed and Mastered by Luke Wyngard and recorded by Bubbleboy District, production includes throwback beats by Mylowe, Arifani Moyo and Mfanelo Mchunu. Charity Ngubo contributes sung vocals. It is a 1990's influenced sound with smooth beats coupling his intricate flows.

After 3 nominations Brian dot Khoza won the South African Hip Hop Award (SAHHA) for King Of KwaZulu-Natal Hip Hop in 2014.
